We ("MateChat") recognise that your privacy is very important and take it seriously. This Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") sets out how we collect, use and disclose your data when you use our mobile application called ("App"). The App is collectively referred to as the "Platform". References to "we", "our" or "us" shall mean the Platform. Any references to "you", "your" or "user" shall mean any person or entity using our Platform. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy is a part of and is to be read with the MateChat Terms of use ("Terms"). By using this Platform, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy. You also consent to our use and disclosure of your Personal Information (as defined below) in the manner described in this Privacy Policy. The capitalized words used in this Privacy Policy but not defined herein, shall have the meaning given to such words in the Terms. If you do not agree with the terms and conditions of this privacy policy, please do not use this platform.
2.1 Log-in Data. User ID, mobile phone number, password, gender, and IP address. We may collect an indicative age range which tells us that you are of the appropriate age to access our Platform and certain features of our Platform (collectively, "Log-in Data").
2.2 Additional Profile Information. Alongside the Log-in Data, we also collect your photo and the biography provided by you on your user profile.
2.3 Content You Share. This comprises all of the information you make available to other users via Platform, comprising such as:
- Information about you or relating to you that is voluntarily shared by you on the Platform, including without limitation, any quotes, images, political opinions, religious views, etc.
- This also includes information about you (including Location Data and Log Data) that other users of the Platform share about you or any communications they make to you.
2.4 Information we receive from other sources. We may also be working closely with third parties (including, for example, business partners, sub-contractors in technical, analytics providers, search information providers) and may receive information about you from such sources. Such data may be shared internally and combined with data collected on this Platform.
2.5 Log Data. "Log Data" is information that we automatically collect when you use the Platform, including, but not limited to:
a. Technical information, such as your mobile carrier-related information, configuration information made available by the programs you use to access the Platform, your IP address and your device’s version and identification number;
b. Information about what you have searched for and looked at while using the Platform, such as social media profiles visited, mini applications used, and details of other information and content accessed or requested by you while using the Platform;
c. General information about communications on the platform, such as the identity of a user that you have communicated with and the time, data and duration of your communications; and metadata, which means information related to items you have made available through the Platform, such as the date, time or location that a shared photograph or video was taken or posted.
2.6 Device Data. "Device Data" includes without limitation, the following:
a. Device attributes: information such as the operating system, hardware and software versions, battery level, signal strength, available storage space, app and file names and types, and plugins.
b. Device operations: information about operations and behaviours performed on the device, such as whether a window is foregrounded or backgrounded.
c. Identifiers: unique identifiers, device IDs, and other identifiers, such as from games, apps or accounts you use.
d. Device signals: We may collect your Bluetooth signals, and information about nearby Wi-Fi access points, beacons, and cell towers.
e. Data from device settings: information you allow us to receive through device settings you turn on, such as access to your GPS location, camera or photos.
f. Network and connections: information such as the name of your mobile operator or ISP, language, time zone, mobile phone number, IP address and connection speed.
g. Application: Any mobile applications that are stored on your mobile device.
h. Media: We access the media gallery on your mobile device, including without limitation, images, videos and audio files and the storage space on your phone. However, we shall always obtain your consent before accessing your images and you shall have the option to deny us such access.
- To set up and facilitate log-in to a user account on Platform;
- To notify you about changes to the Platform, including this Privacy Policy;
- To facilitate communication through the Platform, phone and email, including provision of user support and enablement of services;
- To enforce our terms, conditions, and policies and any of our rights, or the rights of our affiliate companies, or other users of the Platform;
- To develop new services and improve the existing services and the Platform and integrate user feedback and requests;
- To provide language and location based personalization;
- To administer the Platform and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, security, fraud-detection, account management, and survey purposes;
- To better understand how you use and access the Platform and to improve the user experience on the Platform;
- To pseudonymise and aggregate your information, including Personal Information, for conducting user demographic analysis on items such as region, phone model, operating system platform, system language, and the Platform version in order to better understand how our users are using Platform;
- To pseudonymise and aggregate your information, including Personal Information, for collection of web and account traffic statistics of what content and services are used when users access third-party services on the Platform;
- To assess effectiveness of and improve advertising and other marketing and promotional activities.
- To facilitate the sharing of any media such as audios, videos, and images using the Platform;
- To customise our Platform to suit your mobile device;
- To optimise your user experience on our Platform;
- To facilitate the sharing of any content on the Platform via the applications downloaded on your mobile device;
- To verify your identity so as to enforce our terms, conditions, and policies;
- To improve the Platform.
We may share your information with certain authorized third parties, while it’s necessary, to assist in the improvement and optimization of MateChat Services such as:
4.1 Our business partners so that we can improve MateChat Services, including inter-platform linking, uploading and managing User Content on MateChat, online purchases and consumptions, processing payment, user experience activities, user services, etc.;
4.2 Our technology partners help in preventing illegal uses, increasing user numbers, operating system development, engineering and analysis of information or for our internal business purposes;
4.3 Our advertising, marketing, and analytics business partners de-identified device information or statistics, such as de-identified mobile advertising identifiers, which cannot be used to identify you.
Except for the above, we will not disclose or share with any third party your personal information, unless under the following circumstances:
If we obtained your consent, either implied or express;
If we are required to do so in order to comply with the applicable laws and regulations and government requests;
If we believe in our good faith that this is necessary to protect the public interest;
If it is necessary to do so to protect the safety and fundamental rights of another person;
If it is necessary to address fraud, security, or technical issues; and
If it is necessary to ensure the enforcement of our terms and conditions and the daily operation of MateChat Services.
We are committed to ensuring the security and integrity of your personal information. All data is stored on secure servers protected by firewalls and encryption technologies to prevent unauthorized access.
We implement strict access controls, allowing only authorized personnel to handle your information. Regular security assessments are conducted to identify potential vulnerabilities and to enhance our protection measures.
Your data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy or as required by law. When your information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it to prevent unauthorized retrieval.
While we take robust measures to protect your data, no system can guarantee complete security. We continuously monitor and improve our practices to safeguard your personal information.
We may store all information that we collect indefinitely, but we do not promise to do so for any particular period of time.
We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected and processed, in accordance with our retention policies, and in accordance with applicable laws or until you withdraw your consent (where applicable).

Unfortunately, data transmission over the Internet cannot be guaranteed as completely secure. Therefore, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of personal information.
You have the right to delete your account at any time. Deleting your account will permanently remove your profile and all associated data from our system, and you will no longer be able to access the services provided by our platform.
To delete your account,you can open MateChat App,Click Me>Settings>Account Deletion,please note that once your account is deleted, all personal data associated with your account will be permanently erased, and this action cannot be undone. If you wish to keep any data, please make sure to back it up before proceeding with account deletion.
Our application integrates third-party Software Development Kits (SDKs) and tools provided by external service providers to enhance functionality and improve user experience. These third-party SDKs may collect and utilize information such as usage data, device details, and location data to perform their intended functions, which may include analytics, advertising, payment processing, and social media features. The information collected by these SDKs is subject to the privacy policies of the respective third-party providers, and we are not responsible for their data handling practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third parties to understand their data collection and usage practices.

We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the "Last Updated" date at the top of the policy will be revised accordingly. The Platform otherwise is not directed to children under the age of 18. In certain cases this age may be different due to local regulatory requirements, please see your local privacy policy for more information. If we become aware that personal information has been collected on the Platform from a person under the age of 18 we will delete this information and terminate the person's account.
